Club Sandberg (part 2)

Shameless plug! Just reluctantly put my Sandberg Forty-Eight up for sale in the Classifieds. Check it out.

Good Morning!

I've been lurking, waiting for this Sandberg California II TM6 “Superlight” Satin Black to arrive from the UK:

I've put it through it's paces with some looong rehearsals and 3 live shows. Very impressed. There's an online review that states the ultra-light is somehow a compromise, but I am not seeing that at all. This bass holds its own against anything else I've got.

If this club does numbers, I'd like one.

Beautiful 6 string, I just watched Oteil Burbage play his last evening. The sound coming off the mains was incredible, compared to all the other basses I heard yesterday, the Sandberg had more punch and
articulation along with a full sound. While a lot of that can be contributed to Mr. Burgage's technique and artistry, the Sandberg just plain sounded better than any of the other basses on the same stage. What are the pickups on
your bass, they look like the Bartolini's on my Lakland 55-84's and don't look like the ones they use on the 5 string California. Thanks in advance.

Superlight #3 is on it's way. A rare bird, this one is:View attachment 4818244
Ah, I see you too ordered from Hangszerbolt / Music Minutes. Truly was a great experience ordering from them, Zoli was super responsive and helpful and got it shipped quick to the US.

Enjoy, tis' a beauty.

Is it the reverb store or do you reach out to them directly? They show up ok from Europe?
They list some things on Reverb but I don't think they keep all their stock up there. But yes, shipping was great for me, quick and everything was well packed.

I found them while going through pretty much every dealer on the Sandberg dealers pages trying to find some in stock VMs. Sandberg lists them as Music Minutes (same as Reverb store) but it seems they primarily operate under Hangszerbolt.

I reach out off of Reverb. Pricing is substantially lower. I've bought at least 7 basses from Europe and only had one issue with a Sire p7 that fell out of the bottom of the box and was busted up pretty bad. That was a B stock from Thomann, so I question the re-pack job.
