Hey I have some questions about Sandbergs and figured this was a good place to ask.
I’m thinking I see a Sandberg in my future. I’ve never ordered anything internationally before, so I’m just wondering how the ordering process goes and how much shipping and fees will drive up the price.
Also how does the hardcore aging compare to the hardcore reserve?

Chicago music exchange are an official distributor, that would be a good place to start, they may have one in stock you like.

Hardcore reserve also get the vibration treatment to help the wood resonate like an older dried out chunk a wood.
I have not played my Fender Am Std or California II VS4 the last six months, the 2011 California VT4 Roquefort gets all of my attention. I dial in just about 20% of the bridge pickup.

I assume that question is directed at me @lameaim? Well, I think it's a great bass and quite different from my other Sandbergs. The 35" scale does not feel that different to play but certainly seems to make thing more 'piano' like with quick attack and equally good attack. I usually tune to D on this one. As far as the Darkglass pre-amp is concerned, it is nice having the mid adjusted as my other Sandbergs are 2-band eq's. That combined with the special '+' pickups makes it tonality quite versatile and a big difference between the neck and bridge PUPS.
Just change the pickups. You will just need to solder the wiring of the new ones to existing pre amp. I changed the humbuckers in my TM2.
Caution (Assuming this is the first time)
1. Take photos of the existing wiring and connections. That way you have a way back in case of disaster!
2. If you haven’t soldered before, practice!
3. Identify all wiring for old and new pups before proceeding.

I've been a proud Sandberg TM4 owner for a few years... it's a soft aged tobacco burst with matching headstock and block inlay. It's done a lot gigs.
I'm about to pull the trigger on another custom one... this time I'm looking at hardcore aged 5 string TT passive fretless.
