@DJ '65 I think because it’s ‘different’ to all my other Sandbergs. It’s a lovely design and I agree, it looks awesome in the Red. My Masterpiece TT4 is probably still my Fav of the 6.
I've been to 3 band auditions and 1 recording session since owning this bass. At all 4 sessions at least one person has said ~"That's the nicest bass I've ever seen". I agree. And I don't consider this boasting because I didn't build/craft it. But I did have the sense to buy it.
Ok, that part was boasting. lol
Failing that, it'd be a near perfect match for my HCA TSBS. Happy to stand in line!
*Edit* I know it's not an Umbo, but I couldn't help myself: The Rocquefort HCA Umbo just looks so good!

Not sure if #139 is the most recent number.... replying here anyhow. I’m a very happy owner of a Sandberg California VM5. Picked up secondhand at the Bass Gallery in London (great shop, great people). Strung with TI flats, fantastic action, great tone. Now my go-to bass. Love it.

Hi Guys. Just bought my first Sandberg. It's a very nearly new California II , natural finish,2 x big MM style pups, black hardware and dot neck. Loving the bass very much.
I need to adjust the bridge and I cant seem to find any on-line manual to show me how. There seems to be many allen key screws and I'n not really sure where to start. I will post a photo soon, I know, no photo no bass.... but in the meantime any info on the bridge would be great. Thanks, Bob

The newer bridges have the screw in a different place . I'll scan the instructions in a moment.

Hey Cuzzie, sorry to point this out but the locking screw (bottom right) appears to be missing from your saddle. I had to replace a saddle recently for the same issue: according to Sandberg this is usually because the thread has been stripped. They will replace the saddle for you.
Both front screws and the rear left screw are for adjusting vertical height. According to the manual (see attached) and both my samples, the current Sandberg bridges have five screws. There should be another just above the locking screw to adjust string spacing.
