Coated strings for shortscale?

I've done a Google and TB search looking for any short scale (30-32") coated strings, but striking out. Does anyone know of any?

They will be going on a Gibson SG Bass Reissue. I'd try regular long scale, but I'd worry about the thickness of the string starting to wrap around the tuner.

I want to use Green and Yellow DRs on a short scale bass i am modding, so I decided to make it a String-through so I could have the extra length... Idunno if that helps you or not. Your mileage may vary.

Some people just cut down long strings to fit. I have never done that.
