Cologne?

I am proud to say that I discovered this when I was 15 years old!

I loved it then!

I love it now!

I still use it!

Over 40 years.

Yeah baby!!!!!

It was an Eddie Murphy skit. I can't go into too much detail, due to keeping TB PG.
LOL... just googled it. Awesome :)! And it reminded me of something. I hate name dropping and do my best to refrain, but this was classic...

My partner in The Nerve was friends with Pete Steel, and I got friendly with him for a while. Ya kinda have to know the guy a little for this to be funny... he had an interesting sense of humor, but anyhow - I had to go to his house to pick something up one afternoon and when I called him, he told me that if he didn't answer the door, he might be in the shower. He said to just wait there.

I said jokingly, "Wait... I don't know if I want ya coming to the door naked when I get there," And without missing a beat he immediately came back in a deadpan voice with, "Don't worry Joe. As long as you're not wearing High Karate or Canoe, you're safe."

Ya kinda had to be there, but he cracked me up.

He was REALLY an awesome dude. Missed by many.

I feel I should probably contribute something meaningful to this thread, now.

I haven't worn cologne in years. Like Oddly, I usually just stick to plain ol' Old Spice deodorant. However, I once was given some cologne as a gift which turned out to be a Drakkar knockoff, which led me to actually picking up some Drakkar Noir at some point (in the early 90's, I think), which I had for many years. I wound up using Old Spice for a while, but then just dropped it down to the Old Spice deodorant. I have meant for years to get some kind of cologne, just for a wee dab on special occasions, but I always forget about it.

No, I don't use the stuff. After working with big blueprint machines for a while in my youth, it totally screwed up my sense of smell. All colognes, and most perfumes, all smell the same to me - like paint thinner. Which, sady, is not much of a turn on... For many years now, I just use witch hazel (a natural astringent) after I shave. :)
