Hey all! Gigspam here come out and see me with f'ya... Come early for Lucida Tela, Solterra and Innerspace and stay late for us!
We didn't have a great draw as we had the last slot and got a little lazy on the promotion, but sound was good and we got a lot of chatter after from the people we brought and from a few of the previous bands. The sound person Kaylee was really good... Helpful, seemed to know what she was doing... Took a DI from my amp, but it was late, I was tired and cranky and didn't even ask for it to me mic'd. And the room is good! Apparently the BBQ is perfunctory as well

My position is called an Application Tech Arch Specialist. Basically, I work on a development team for a large consulting firm. I work exclusively from home, but to call an office "home", it has to have headcount available. It's a lot harder to transfer than it used to be. My biggest fear is moving to a place where housing is a lot more expensive. We're looking at buying out there in a year or two if we really love it. But there doesn't seem to be much under the 300k range, and I don't really want to live in Colorado Springs.
We're looking for rentals in Westminster, Broomfield, Superior, Louisville, Golden, and Boulder--mostly west and northwest. Of course they are the the most expensive, but they are what we liked best while staying there.

Yeah, good luck with that. Housing is way overpriced everywhere you mention... Same places my finance and I are looking and under 300 doesn't get as far as you'd thing. Just noticed a few houses in neighborhoods we are interested in aren't selling within a week and $$ are being lowered... It can't stay like this forever.
Asking because my day job is always looking for cybersecurity/appsec folks...
yeah I don't know what we'll do. I don't want to live in a dump on the east side of Denver. We're moving down there for the mountains. So, I'm either all in or not at all. I'll end up paying extra for it, but man... We're going to be looking at a lot of places.
My transfer request was approved, so I'll be moving to the Denver area by Oct 1st.
Would anyone here be willing to help answer any questions I might have around housing etc. It's going to be a little tough deciding on a place from here in Minnesota. We'll be renting for the first year or two.

Under 300k is going to be tough. Not to say that you can't find a home for that, but it won't have everything you want in the location that you want. The Denver area has rental rates rising faster than anywhere in the nation right now. I have several friends who's apartment rates are going up $400 a year for the last couple years. It may be a good idea to look at condos if your not opposed to that. The Price of condos has not gone up as much as houses but you can still get one with the mortgage less than an apartment.
Anyone?!? There is like 7000 bands playing so I assumed everyone on TB would be playing next weekend.
We are on Sat the 25th at 10 at Brendans Pub on S Broadway. To top it off our cd which we have been working on since last year will finally be available for sale.Weed. Weed is the reason housing/rent out here is going crazy
I dig it. Bought my brick ranch in Green Mtn in 2008 for 190k. Might be able to sell it today for close to 300k. I do feel bad for my friends who are trying to buy though. Its rough these days. Good luck!
