Combo amp for gigging?

I've been playing 6ish months and for the last 4 i've been using a 30w marshall, but since our guitarist upgraded to a 100w marshall it's getting more difficult to be heard, we're going to be gigging soon and i'm going to need a half decent combo for roughly small venues
I've got roughly £250 ( about $400 )
any reccomendations?
( out of the amps i've tried so far, orange amps appeal to me most soundwise )

if you can get a little more money together, go used and get something with at least 300w and maybe a 410. you can buy used rigs like that all day long that will serve your purpose and won't break the bank.

300 watts is a good amount of power and it won't cost you much more than $300-$500 brand new. If you go used you can find them even cheaper. I recommend the TB classifieds here.

For wattage anything above 100 would do fine
I could probably scrape together about $500 if i needed to
I'm not so bothered about loudness
More about sound quality.

Maybe take a look at the new fender rumble 350. It is around the $500 mark. It seems to be pretty loud and has decent sound coming out of it, at least to my ears.

BTW.

Reliability, serviceability (in case of accidental breakage), and transportability are absolutes.

Tone, on the other hand, is subordinate to the above due to it being subject to the ever-changing whims of circumstance (string type, bass make & model, a bass' setup, playing technique, competition from other instruments, room acoustics, amp placement, EQ settings, and at times, even the state of one's health and mood).

GK Backline series 210 combo is a nice setup. I used one for about a yr with and without a 15" ext cab. Ifyou look around you might be able to grab the combo and an extra cab if you need it for under 500 used..

Unless the band has a good PA to hook the BA115 up to, the Ampeg won't be able to compete with a 100 watt Marshall. I would go with JimmyM's advice
