I've decided to get rid of the 'compact' style (which hid avatars), because it's used by less than 50 members. Each style adds processing time to certain admin tasks. A lean set of styles is good.
By contrast, the "Dark" style is used by almost 2,000 members. About 1,100 members use the "Retro" style. "Social" is used by 200 or so
