My make Dirnt pbass weighs in at 4 1/2 lbs. Hard to believe but it actually feels like it's 2lbs compared to my other basses

Not joking! It is light as a feather, IMO it kinda feels like a toy but it has the sustain of my 16lbs beast (which has a metal brick as bridge). Amazing tone also!

Off topic,but how much do covers normally weigh?

Just guessing, probably 3-4 ounces each.

My ash 82 P-Bass weighs in at a trim 9.8 lbs......

Do you know if that scale has been zero'd out? Even then i've seen bathroom scales be off as much as 7 pounds.

most of my basses are right around 8 lbs , the linc, and Schecter are under 8 the Ric at 8.5 and the others just tip the scale at 9 lbs , but none are heavier than 9 lbs
