I don't get the concept of a collection being "completed".

I guess to be fair, it never really is "completed", I'm just very pleased with the current iteration of it. In the future this could change, of course, but I have reached a rare moment of relative peace with my collection's current state.

Picked up a 2019 Fender Elite Jazz in a trade this past weekend and I think that about does it for me. I've done some experimenting with newer basses but I always find myself going back to one of these three, so I think for now any money that gets allocated towards music will go to amplification or pedals, or….something.

Playing in a couple bands right now and these basses consistently scratch the itch!

Clearly you're not following the Talkbass bass collection equation:

X = Y + 1

Where X is the total number of basses you require in a collection, and Y is your current number of basses.

I have way too many basses, mainly because I have duplicates of different bass types. But I too use the trio of Precision, Jazz and Rickenbacker, plus StingRay and Hofner. For me, those five types pretty much cover the waterfront.

Although I don't own a real EBMM Stingray, I have to agree with others as it's iconic and it's active which is missing from your 'complete' collection. Then there's a Gibson SG that would fill in the short scale void.

Just my humble non-sensical opinion.

Actually a very nice collection of basses. If you're gonna have just 3, these are the ones to have.
