I did a search, but what I found was spotty at best, and spread throughout multiple threads. There's a sticky here on Method books, with some etudes scattered throughout it, but none on etudes.
I would like to further delve into the classical bass repertoire (I play 6 string fretted and fretless electric). Can someone steer me to a more comprehensive list of etudes? The ones I use now are:
1) Libon
2) Slama
3) excerpts from the Simandl Method
What are some other string bass etudes, or transcrpitions of other instruments etude repertoire? Do people ever do cello works (tuning issues, I know)?
And what about solo repertoire - is it mainly transcriptions?
And help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Cameron
