Concert sound help

Well I'll make short this basicly I have been fighting (more like we have been fighting) the sound and my school's stage in the auditorium. Reason is because it has what we call the "vacum effect" which means that the sealing somehow maneges to suck away most of the sound. Now here is the question. I'm running a GK 400 RB-III which has a really good sound but in the face of that stage the sound becomes less distinguished, and also this year Im running with a couple of effects a crybaby wah and m-80 is there a way I can get a better sound for the place?

the auditorium itself is double level one which the second level that's really a balcony like place and can accommodate about 2-300 people sitting down.

Assuming you mean that the area above the stage is sucking sound...

Does the stage have a fly loft (aka does it go up like 50-60 feet or more above the stage)?

If so, something like a portable orchestra shell might be your only salvation. Fly lofts are murder on sound.

I'll add that your mids will project better than your lows. If you want to at least be heard, bump up your mid-range.

Yeah, some EQ will probably help you out a lot here. It may be worth your money to invest in a PA-style 31-band graphic EQ, or possibly a rackmounted parametric EQ. Either of these should help you EQ to the room more effectively.
