Conditioner

Would this be fine as a power conditioner for my studio & PC?

Im going to run another extension cable off that one so that i've got enough sockets. Everything i've got will be running well under its 13A rating, so im thinking i'll be fine

I dont fancy spending the extra for a rack mounted one, and i think it might be a worthwhile step up from the cheaper belking surge protector im using currently. (tho i'd still use the belkin for the extra sockets)

You will get a little surge protection from that probably no better than cheaper powerstrips.

Well its better than what i have and i dont think i can afford one of the more expensive battery style things.

Cross your fingers.

Not totally joking.. A surge protector/power strip will provide a little bit of protection, but not a lot. If it's not expensive, chances are it's not doing much in terms of power conditioning, filtering, or protection.

With that said, I've been using cheapo power strips on all my bass gear for ~15 years and none of it has blown up yet!

one time a few years back I decided to open up a so called power conditioner to see what it had inside....the cheap ones sometimes have only a green light with the marker "protected" no joke on that...it was a radio shack on unit at the time.
