My two-cents-worth…"comfort" is king! "Sound" is incredibly malleable, either by changing strings or electronics. "Looks", while an important factor to me personally, is never a sure-fire indicator of playability. If an instrument is not comfortable to play, you run the risk of constantly fighting with it and who wants to deal with that during a gig?
