So I ran a search on my old posts for the hell of it. I caught this great quote about preferring 10s over 15s
"...I went from 2 15's to a hartke 410 xl and was really happy with it, much more responsive and didn't lose any depth. Recently I switched to avatars - and the hartke hasn't moved since - the avatars rock, are much cheaper, and a hell of a lot lighter to boot.
Or, if you can't decide between the 10s or 15s, you could always give a 212 a look too - your back will thank you down the road."
So my back is not thanking me anymore. Recently played through an old Peavey 215d with black widows, fell in love and bought 2 of them. (4) 15s at a total weight of 260 pounds. Usually only drag one 215 to a gig, but it still doubles the weight of my 212 & 210 neos combined. Yup, made things harder on, and a liar out of myself at the same time - all in the name of big beefy tone.
Anyone else find themselves disagreeing with their own well-intentioned advice a year later?
