You have the body wood? So you're going to cut the body yourself. You know you only get one shot at that. Plus you have to route the body for the neck and pickups, and drill the body for the wiring, buy the neck all the electronics, and assorted parts. If you've got the skills and the tools, right on but in the long run it might be better to buy A Jack Casady Epiphone as JPDsma reminded me, unless you just really want to build your own guitar, and there is nothing wrong with that. And you still need a case. If you want to do that get a 335 body that's already cut and routed and get a neck. Then you can get the pickups, bridge, tail piece you like and it will all be custom. You can do gold or black hardware if you don't like chrome but it will be a lot of hours to get it right. I'm sure you know that.
