"Conversation Status" ???

Help me out here.

If you start a conversation with someone and you choose the: " Lock conversation (no responses will be allowed)", are you blocking a response even from the recipient? AKA: What happened to Private Messages (PM) ?

Yeah, if you choose to lock the conversation, the recipient won't be able to reply to you. I'm actually surprised that this option is available to you (should probably be just for system/admin messages). If you want to have just a normal "PM" conversation with the user, leave it unchecked. All conversations are private, just like a PM.
