Convert MEC active pups to passive?

Hi everyone, first post here.

I've got a Warwick RB Corvette six-string with the active gold-top MECs and an active EQ. The active pups are way too hot for the sound I crave. Is there a way to deactivate my pups and leave the active EQ in place?

Check if they are compatible to your preamp. MEC offers different versions of their preamp for active and passive pickups.
