converting a bass from passive pickups to active, with a 3-band active eq

I'm working on a project in which I am converting a Jackson 5-string jazz bass from passive to active pickups. The stock electronics are passive Jackson soapbar pickups with a 3-band active eq system. The new pickups are active Duncan Basslines soapbar pickups.

I believe I'll need to add a 9-volt battery for the pickups and wire the pickup battery lead to one of the hot lugs (ring or tip) of a stereo jack, and wire the signal lead from the preamp to the other lug (ring or tip) of that jack. Correct?

Also, do I need to change the pots to a certain value? I believe they are 500k but I have to check. Thanks!

You should be able to feed the pickups from the battery that is currently feeding the EQ.
You will need to change any pots that come between the pickups and EQ. 25K or 50K should work.
