some Jack Johnson bass lines sound cool but I don't think it would impress to many people, Primus have some songs that sound extreamly difficult but are pretty easy I can't think of any right now other then Wynona's Big Brown Beaver.
I'll help you out...but what style are you looking for?
here's a few to start:
"What you're doin - Rush", really easy main rif...easy verses...there is a gtr/bass riff that comes in after the choruses...sounds very tricky, but it's really kinda easy (I can help you here)
"Spirit of Radio - Rush"...Main riff is very cool, and remarkably easy for beginners
once you post a style you (and your friends) are into, I'll post more.
the beggining solo for "corporate trash" by choking victim
"i am the owl" by dead kennedys
"viva las vegas" by dead kennedys
"no face" by the suicide machines
"money" by pink floyd
"gay rude boys unite" by leftover crack
"psycho" by lower class brats
"throw a bomb" by mustard plug
"feel good inc" by gorrillaz (i hate the song and the band, but the bass is cool in that song)
i just started playing two weeks ago, so these are pretty easy since i can play them.
Playing the guitar part of Marilyn Mansons version of Sweet Dreams is pretty sweet and easy, and everyone knows what it is. It sounds awesome on the bass.
