Fantastic Negrito - a local artist from Oakland. If you haven't heard of him, I recommend checking out some music. Please Don't Be Dead would be excellent starting point.

Françoise Hardy just passed away at 80. I still have some tears falling. She was the creator of the French yé-yé (yeah-yeah) music scene in the '60s. Tremendous talent. She was to modern women what Kathryn Hepburn was to women 80+ years ago. One of the things that distinguished her back in the early '60s when she released her first few albums was that she wrote almost all of her songs herself. She also modeled for Yves Saint Laurent and Paco Rabanne, and one of her songs was the inspiration for the name of designer Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons (Like Boys) line. She released her last album in 2018. Hardy had long suffered from cancer. She was first diagnosed with lymphoma in 2004 and then throat cancer in 2019. She underwent several rounds of radiotherapy, and lost hearing in one ear as a result. In recent years, she became an advocate for euthanasia.
Still beautiful all these years later.
