When he's not clowing around, the big guy is Mike Geier, who has performed in a Tiki band, swing band, and Elvis tribute, but all a little off-kilter…
Oh yeah, I know his name but haven't had a chance to see him in those acts. I understand he's been based in Atlanta for a long time.
I just got tickets to see Weird Al next summer, with Puddles opening. I've seen Puddles a couple times, but never Al. This looks to be an excellent pairing.
Ritchie used to like to break stuff
I've seen him three times, a multimedia experience, but during the most recent, it got a bit bizarre, however not because of him. The venue, a pretty interesting place, is much like a dinner theater, but with musical and related acts. We were at a long table, and after a hilarious set by Neil Hamburger, in the middle of Puddles' performance, in a booth behind us, a guy had a heart attack. Paramedics, with the gurney, came in a side door and wheeled him out, but I'm not sure he made it. The show was not stopped, in fact Mike had no idea what was going on.
The roster there is not your usual stuff…some esoteric groups/singles, lots of legacy acts from all eras(some without any original members), the inevitable tribute bands, and a smathering of up and coming or current (but somewhat obscure)names…
