Bronze Records was a British record label
started in 1971 by Gerry Bron, who was formerly with Vertigo.
The label was home for such artists as Uriah Heep, Colosseum, The Damned, Girlschool, Hawkwind, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Motörhead, Sally Oldfield, Osibisa and Phenomena. Initially distribution was through Island Records, and from 1977 through EMI, changing again to Polydor in 1980. By 1980 Bronze had established itself as one of the major independent labels and was dedicated to British music, releasing mostly rock while keeping open to other styles. Other artists on the label were Paddy Milner, The Blues Band, John Altman, Rockford, GP Hall and Monty Norman. By the mid '80s, when marketing by the new media video clips became key to the commercial success, Bronze sales decreased and the catalogue was finally sold in 1986 to Castle Music aka Castle Communications PLC.
The label was reported to be revived in 2003, however no new releases have appeared, with the exception of a few international reissues.

My wife and I gave Maria a ride home one time after a once-a-week musical gathering that we'd go to(and played at ourselves), hosted by a guy named Jon Brion(you'll have to look him up…extensive career). The two of them had performed almost the entire Ziggy Stardust album, a unique set to have experienced.
At Hollywood Forever cemetery, just down the path from Johnny's statue/memorial (which is right next to Mickey Rooney).
The facility hosts concerts and events there; I went to a screening of Rock'n'Roll High School as part of a Ramones celebration. It was on one of the the lawns, and the film was projected against a mausoleum wall.
Edit: coming up(among other things) a gig by Spacemen 3 members and a screening of Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Halloween.

In an lengthy interview, Randy describes meeting a younger kid in his Winnipeg neighborhood, Lenny Breau, who was already a phenom at age 14. What a jump-start to Randy's education! His stories of the early years of The Guess Who are fascinating and often hilarious.

The other night, we saw Alejandro Escovedo (opening) and Jason Isbell. Great combo, just as I expected.
