Cool rock n roll photos

JD Souther.....

He was a great songwriter. I first learned of him when I became head over heels about Linda Ronstadt. He duetted on this song when she covered it on one of her albums. She said he was always one of her favorites. (as well as being one of his former girlfriends) Here's a live version. RIP JD.

It's so odd, I never before considered Hendrix' Strat fully. Since it's an upside-down righty guitar, the now backwards bridge pickup treble-bias angle must have created a unique tone, especially from the two 'E' strings. Also, with the strap anchored on the short horn, there must have been considerable unbalance and neck dive. It always did appear he was hefting the neck, as evident here.

Nothing says Punk Rock like a guy in a satin Led Zeppelin jacket with long feathery hair
Well, it was Texas, and the Pistols were part of something new, so that kid had to catch up.
It took a little while for guys to grow their hair out after the Beatles hit(and it’s laughable how the moptop was considered “long”).
