Eddie couldn't find any Better Men.
Angelo Moore of Fishbone and Fat Mike of NOFX at the latter band's last show.
He is not the only one to feel that way. When I saw Yes over the years I always focused on that amazing bass. And one time (2013) at The Celebrity Theater in Phoenix I was able to be inches away from it before the show started (because it is a "in the round" set-up). I photographed it and yes, touched it with one finger.

In 1981 while still with Weather Report, Jaco Pastorius created his "Word of Mouth" Big Band which featured the great Toots Thielemans on harmonica. The two of them created a special bond that lasted until Jaco's death in 1987. Here's Jaco on piano, in duo with Toots on Jaco's original called "Three Views of a Secret" recorded in Belgium in 1985.

Played with him many times (trombone, in Harrah's Tahoe house orchestra). What a thrill and an honor. Karen sounded just like the records ... and without auto-pitch.
