I see what you’re talking about. In the photos where you see the floor, it looks like there is lightning in the floor. This would explain why there are no cast shadows by the band.
Without lights in the floor, figures would cast shadows on it, making them look more natural and integrated in the picture. As it is, the figures look a bit like cutouts, because the lit floor is preventing shadows to be cast as one would normally see.

That is what I was thinking. Lots of guitarists take their guitar with them on the airplane; but, how many people take their amp head?
Where’s John’s autoharp?!!
I was inspired by him...AND by lugging around an Acoustic (360?) cabinet...to go and spend every penny of my first tax refund on an autoharp...which, though missing a few pads, I still keep tuned up for when I gather ‘round the campfire with my bluegrass buddies.

Well, it was in a hotel. Pretty sure everyone who stays in one gets that treatment if they want. (We keep the Do Not Disturb sign up unless we're there more than a few days.)
