Love these! Reminds me of my engineering classes at Omega Studios in Rockville MD. back in the late 80s. Their studio A had an API console IIRC. Seeing these has me wishing I had worked a bit (a lot) harder to establish a career in audio. :meh:

Nice! You should start another thread and tell some stories, I'm sure you have a few.
First of all, I am from the DC area, so I have hear a lot about Omega. Just never got the chance to visit. I didn't know that taught classes. I'll have to share photos of the Neve in Studio C, the SSLs in Studios B and D (which is a different name now). The vintage gear always had me drooling. I started my Audio Engineering classes at Northern Virginia Community College, where we had very basic old gear, but it was a great way to learn prior to moving up to more complicated machines. My husband and I are still analog. :-)
As for stories, WOW! There are so many of them, but, there are so many I could never tell...especially in public. It's kind of a "code of silence" so that the musicians feel comfortable while creating. But, there are some that can be shared.

Yeah, sometimes I do that. You’d think the band name on the kick drum would be a clue.

So the way my brain works is I’ll be listening to Son of a Preacher Man but looking at my Neil Young book. I’ll see a cool photo of him in Buffalo Springfield. I’ll find it online but then post the name of the performer I’m listening to instead of the name of the band in the picture. So yeah, I usually do my best proofreading after I post. :D

EDIT: BTW, I picked that particular photo because of Bruce Palmer's blue bass with the tele head stock.

The thought bubbles

George - so much disharmony in the world. How can I make the world a more peaceful place?
John - I hate my bourgeois bandmates and their lust for money above all else...
Paul - I could do so much better if I ditched these bozos...
Ringo - One and two and three and four and...
