My wife met Frank Zappa. She was visiting a friend and just travelled a fair distance and was dishevelled. She had arrived slightly early and her friend was out so she sat on the pavement outside their apartment block. Zappa passed by and thought she was homeless and offered her money and/or to take her and her friend somewhere to get food.
