excellent i think gary was a good guy :thumbsup: at one time he used to keep one of his plane's at coventry airport i used to see him flying it :)

I just found out about this while looking for that picture:

Invalid Link Removed​

With three original MC5 members deceased and drummer Dennis Thompson absent, Kramer has selected Fugazi drummer Brendan Canty, Zen Guerrilla vocalist Marcus Durant, Faith No More bassist Billy Gould, and Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil to help him reanimate the MC5's potent catalog. For this tour, they're performing as MC50.​

I'm pissed that I missed them when they were in town last year, and am contemplating seeing them in New York next month. But it's a weekday, I'll just be starting a new job, and would be a major hassle, so I probably won't. Dammit.

Gary still is a good guy, he's got some more recent (2017-ish) music out that's pretty heavy stuff, and he's collaborated with Nine Inch Nails; Trent Reznor idolized him growing up and is now friends with him. Love that early Tubeway Army stuff, the whole sci fi dystopia with the bright new wave sound was so ahead of its time. Too bad most people only know "Cars", at least in the US that was all that got played on radio and MTV.
