Is that Rick Nielson from Cheap Trick? Got to party with them when they were a bar band. Dated a girl who grew up with them.
It sure looks like Rick.

How could you not know it’s Rick, he looks just like Huntz Hall…
In the mid-70’s, before anyone outside the upper midwest knew about them, Rick’s hairline was receeding, so he started ditching the rocker look, eventually settling on the Bowery Boys thing, along with Bun E.’s cut-rate accountant persona…
And Huntz Hall is a really old reference at this point, the last Bowery Boys movie was over 60 years ago.I was pretty sure it was, but not everyone is as familiar with the rock legends as we are...
This photo of Fuse is interesting in that it lists Rick Nielsen as only organ and Ken Adamany on bass but that is Tom Petersson 2nd from right in the photo and Ken Adamany was actually their manager.
Yet growing up in the 60’s and 70’s, those old movies were always on TV; we all knew about the Three Stooges, especially Curley, right? Think about the demographic inclined to read this thread. When Cheap Trick emerged as a recording/touring act, in all the reviews, the deliberate resemblance was always brought up.

Not everybody knows that stuff, though, so it just makes sense to include names in this thread. And I don't remember the reviews bringing up Huntz Hall, but then again I never knew the actor's name until recently even though I did see a few scenes from the Bowery Boys.
This poster is from a Battle Of The Bands in 1968 from a town in my county. It was a couple years before my playing in a band days but I know some people who were in some of these bands. Check out the price. $1.50 for 16 bands. I wonder how many songs each band played. I like some of the psychedelic band names.
