Her name is Lizzie No.

Earlier this evening she held a thousand concert-goers in the palm of her hand.

I'm anxious to see to it that more people come to know her, and her music.

Cool! A Troubadour harp! I'll have to check her out. I know you've been around a LONG time here and every so often I wonder about your screen name…are you a harpist?

My sister is a professional jazz and classical harpist. Mildred Dilling (who taught Harpo and zillions of pros) took my sis under her wing when my sis was just starting.

Deborah Henson Conant is a fun harpist by th way. She plays a unique style that is jazzy.

'the harp unstrung' is a Robert Hunter lyric from a line that comes from the Grateful Dead's "Ripple", from the 1970 album "American Beauty". :)

No, I don't know how to play the harp.
The nearest I would dare come is the beautiful Oscar Schmidt Autoharp that I bought with my very first (1973?) income tax return.

I keep it tuned up…it's missing a half dozen pads…I play it around campfires a few times a year.

It's a vivid reminder of the battles I once had lugging an Acoustic 360 cabinet around.

It was that cab that convinced me that there just had to be a lighter way of making music! ;)

I'm looking forward to tracking Mildred Dilling, and Deborah Henson Conant down, out on the web.

In the meantime, thanks for the interest, and the musical tips!

The Wailers sport their 1965 outfits: split down the middle, half-beige, half-black. The duotone stage outfit didn't last... (Jini Dellaccio / Courtesy University of Washington Libraries, Special Collections)

My first thought immediately!
