I think it's pretty rare to find an original LP with the 'flames' cover. It was released on Oct 17, 1977 and the plane crash happened on October 20, so they were only on the market for a few days before the label pulled them. Spotify uses the 'flames' cover on its platform, which I always thought was weird.

‘Working’ as the PD at our college radio station in 1977, we received the ‘flames’ cover promo record, and played the hell out of it from day One.
Following the tragedy, no doubt, it stayed in even heavier rotation.

Spring, 78, my roommate (the music director at the same station) and I decided to take a few records with us on the way out the door…one of mine was the Flames cover…then we got to feeling guilty, so we decided to keep only one apiece.
I chose Santana’s ‘Lotus’.

The very next year, the station burned down to the ground.:crying:

ALL was lost.:dead:
