I think the reason Billy Idol blew up as big as he did was all Steve Stevens

His Precision looks like a real road worn bass, like somebody has played it daily for several decades and like it has seen a thousand bar gigs.
If that is Fender Custom Shop fakery, they did a really good job.

Great looking P bass for sure. IIRC this is a 58 Fender Precision.
