Cool rock n roll photos

Those prices are less than the cost of a single ticket to some of those acts today (or when they last toured). My ticket to The Wall at Soldier Field in Chicago cost me $500...and then they cancelled the show for logistics reasons, and only played New York and L.A. Broke my heart. The Animals tour at County Stadium in Milwaukee remains the only time I've seen the Floyd live.
Dunno. Looks like a British pound sign there instead of a $ sign. If my 1969 conversion chart is correct, it was just about $2.4 to a pound. So the top paid act (The Faces) got around $1080 instead. I love it. It looks like Deep Purple only got $360. Thems were the days.

Greg, this (hot) pic of Tina reminded me of one time in around '73. I was visiting an old military buddy in Connecticut. We were in a club and a couple girls came over and sat down with us.

After talking awhile, one of them asked me the old "desert island" question, but with a twist. She said, "Okay, you're stranded on a desert island. You can pick two women to be there with you. Who do you pick?"

I thought about it for about 10 seconds, then said, "Carole King for her head, and Tina Turner for her body..." :D

£350 in 1969 would be £ 5,576.55 in 2023 or $6,803.98 - still a bargain...
