Subjective opinion...the party started 95 pages ago.
it's my experienced 'opinion', and any party that includes a slew of unique Jimi @ Thomas Sq. is the best foto funtime I've been to, at least as long as he was there. otherwise, it's been a rather disappointing 95 pgs having expected to snag a bunch of new cool stuff, but as usual Jimi made up for everything.
this shot alone was worth the price of admission, and seeing a familiar face in the crowd gets pretty emotional.

silly trivia: after Jimi broke a string it was over except for one final local lore moment when a big Hawaiian got his hands on Jimi's Strat and ripped all the strings off, supposedly retaining the rusty mess still today. 2 yrs later Jimi returned to the HIC arena after shooting Rainbow Bridge on Maui and played his last ever concert on (highly questionable) US soil. too bad all the film and recording equipment was sent home as well and that epic show was only for those with tickets, it was one of his best in that final year.

Funny that you put 'opinion' in 'quotations' ...experienced or not, everybody's definition of Cool rock n roll photos is their own, and just their opinion.
I think there have been lots of cool pics posted in this thread by lots of people here.
The pics of James Brown and Chuck Berry on this page may be much "Cooler" pics than your posted Kiss and Van Halen pics, in the opinion of the person who posted them and quite possibly hundreds of other people here who viewed them.
Purely subjective, experience has nothing to do with it.

this is silly, but I'll play.
opinion wasn't in quotes, merely highlighted for my interests.
yes, all the pix are cool, but this thread pales mightily to what I'm used to, minus the exceptional Jimi / park pix.
I probably have more great pix archived than your average bear and I've seen infinitely more. experience matters.
the pics of James Brown and Chuck Berry are awesome, but I've seen most of those, so over all... boring TO ME.
to say my pics of Kiss and Van Halen are less than those is pure chopped mystery meat product, but that's ok, they aren't mine and I don't even care about those bands, however, they are new releases / rarely seen and I'd say they're hot, hot, hotter than hell. ymmv.
let's keep it fun, k?

while I'm at it...
Jim Dandy was in a horrible car crash long ago and is a physical wreck, that he is still out there proudly keeping the BOA flag flying high with old mate Ricky Reynolds while maintaining their overt love for BBQ etc. is more than ok with me. to ridicule these guys says a lot more about the commentators than the subjects who belong in the RRHOF.
