I got to play a 4 string Ida Nielsen on my last trip to Bass Central. I really liked it!

They are excellent basses. Mine was a 5 string. I sold mine off along with all of my StingRay Specials . ( Except for my BFR Fretless).

I bought a Bacci 5 reverse P/MM 32 scale. What an amazing bass. And yes it is purple !!!

The Fodera, Bacci and StingRay5 Fretless are the best basses I’ve ever experienced.

Bacci are made in Italy I think? How did you manage to obtain one?

I've owned a Fodera Monarch Standard. Nice bass and the sound was good but nothing special so I eventually traded it. It did play very well.

They are made in Italy. About an 1 to 1.5 hours west of Florence. They seem to be distributing to the states at select stores. I'm in Pittsburgh, PA and a local shop has a couple. I was able to try out a Bacci Marleo 4 with reverse P and J pickups. It was a forest green color, had some gorgeous flame on the back of the neck. The construction was top notch and it played great. Very comfortable. Really dig the overall design. They also had a Tim Lefebvre model but I did not get a chance to check that one out.

I travel to Italy yearly . I consider it home like my 2nd home . I have talked to Bruno and his team. Upon discovering the bass I wanted from his website was already available I purchased it from here. I believe your country of residence?

I've owned a Fodera Monarch Standard. Nice bass and the sound was good but nothing special so I eventually traded it. It did play very well.

My Emperor Classic practically plays itself and the grand piano like sound really blew me away. It’s not a top of the line fancy woods model Fodera , but man does she have “IT”!!!

I’d love to audition a Sandburg TM5 Superlight in person. No one in the St.Louis area has one and the only store that carries one doesn’t at present have a TM5 as of this writing. Since I’m sopartial to the Lakland 55-94’s smaller frets and neck profile I’ll Just have patiently wait.

Nice! I've never been to Italy but want to go sometime. Yes, Guitar Haus is in Mississauga, about a 6 hour drive from here (we have to drive across Toronto).

No one in my area carries Sandbergs either so I can relate. It wasn't until I was half way around the world before I got to tryout Sandbergs. I was in Australia with my family and during one of the treks we were in Melbourne for a wedding. I had some time, so I visited The Bass Centre. On top of an already incredible selection of high end gear, they had a wall of Sandberg basses. I demoed every one I could and they stood out to me amongst all the other brands.

A couples years later, I took a chance and purchased mine used here on TB. I now have two Sandbergs (TM4 and VT4) and are the only basses I play.

Thank you !!! I also have an 2008 Squier CV 60’s P with TI Flats ( same strings on my Fretless ) . Sometimes I just need THAT sound. Also good when I don’t want to take my more pricey basses out.

I think I’ve got all my basses covered so to speak. I want for nothing .

Sandbergs are greatly. I tend to like the heft of the non super light models. More punch and thickness to the notes was my experience.

I really like the black label pickups . The Glock preamp was just too bright for my personal preference .
