VEry nice, very nice, but what is so special about the headstock, besides it saying fender jazz bass (thats pretty special itself)

Jazz bass is emphasized with fat lettering and the serial number is on the back of the headstock, in contradiction to 60's and modern style basses. It's a 70's thing. Altough it's still different to the original 70's headstock styling of course... Less spaghetti-ish then Geddy '72 posted above.

It's plain, simple and has a awesome message to the people. And the Jazz bass has definetely the best headstock of all. ^^

It seems like ibanez did a lot of copying other models of other brands. I have at my house an ibanez copy of a Les Paul, ive seen Ibanez Ricks, ibanez fenders, etc.... whats up with that?

In the mid 70's, Ibanez made copies of Gibson and Fender products. Excelent copies, but copies so similar that it's hard to tell them apart.

This stopped in the late 70's with the introduction of the Musician and Roadstar models.
