Double Bass Corelli Sonata in Cm (Zimmerman)

been playing bass for a year and some change now and am even newer to classical. anyway, my teacher gave me this one to work on over this summer, specifically the second movement.

thing is, I don't know where to find a good source recording or two. have yet to search on grooveshark. was this originally for another instrument in a different key? I have the sheet music but as a classical newbie I like to hear source recordings to help with musicality.

Because it's not originally for bass, it's unlikely you'll find a decent one on bass. have you searched on youtube? it's a fantastic resource for classical.

also keep in mind that you may not be playing it in the original key. check the Opus number (Op.#) or any other identifiers. it may even say the original key and instrument on the music.

my suggestion is to find a recording in the original key and with the original instrument and listen to that while searching for one on bass. You'll gain a lot of insight into the piece by listening to it on the "original" instrument as well.

do you happen to know the number? all I have are some photo copies I got from my instructor and it doesn't say on the sheet.

I tried YouTube but I couldn't find it, but I suppose because I was looking for the wrong thing.
