CORT A5: pup replacement

So i want to replace my pups with either the bart mk1's or something else. I know that the mk1's will fit but i was wondering if there were any other pups you'd all recomment.

I am resurrecting an old thread because I would like to know what pickups would work without routing; MK-1's, EMG 40 shape, Bart P2 shape?

What are the current pickups on your A5? Cause there are several version of A5 with different electronics/pickups.

Latest builds got Bartolini MK1 pickups as stock. The direct replacement would be a pair of Bartolini MK5CBC, or (although slightly different measurements but unnoticeable) any pickups with Bartolini P2 shape.

I have the Deluxe A5 Plus with the generic soap bars and the Mark bass preamp.

I have no idea which one is the Deluxe, but I'm familiar with Invalid Link Removed. These have Bartolini MK1 pickups. Is yours one of these?

This is the bass except it is five string.

ahh... that is Cort Action series bass. By mentioning A5 in #4 post (and referring to original poster's thread tittle), I thought you were talking the Cort Artisan series bass.

So, yours is the Cort Action Deluxe V Plus. Not the Cort A5 nor there is a Deluxe A5 Plus.

IIRC, the pickups on the Action series are based on EMG's, thus since yours is the 5 string one, usually the pickups are EMG 40 sized. You can confirm by measuring the pickups on yours. If they are 4.0" x 1.5", then they are EMG 40 sized.

I have a Cort A5 with mk1 .
I want to replace it for Nordstrand Big Single. They sell it at 19 mm, and 18mm. Which one is the best option?
