Cort basses

I had the 6 string version and it was a fantastic sounding bass...I really liked the EQ on this baby. But I did have trouble with the preamp in it overdriving the input on my amp, even with the gain controls on the bass turned all the way down.
(Active 9V tone circuit features a 3-band EQ and a "slap" contour switch with adjustable bass and midrange boost (accessed from the rear) plus volume, treble cut, mid boost/cut and bass boost/cut knobs on the front).
Nonetheless, the necks are slim and comfortable, similar to an Ibanez neck, and they are nice and light...good slap tone too.,,,if you do a search you can find tons of info on these basses here on TB...and there is even a Cort club on here as well.

I have owned the 4 string curbow personally i was not impressed with it.I did not like the the way the Preamp and pup sounded. And the luthite body probaly had alot to do with the sound also. But i have a friend that has one and he loves it.

Try to find one locally and give it a try what sounds good to others may not sound good to you.Always a good thing to put your hands on one and give it a try.

I don't buy any instrument unless i can put my hands on one and play it through a good amp.I do own a Cort GB94 and i am very fond of it.

The curbow is really a great player! the neck is slim and fast and the fretboard is quite nice.

Why i have not bought this bass:
1. due to the unusual form of the body you're having a hard time playing that bass seated.
2. the sound was to "thin" for my ears. No "balls", no fat low mids, etc.
It features a Slap Switch which is like waking up the sleeping beauty. It goes from "little unimpressive bass" to "freakin funk machine" within the fraction of a second.
But since I don't play Funk and dont slap that much, it just wasn't for me.
