Cort GB Short Scale - has anyone tried one?

Was at GC last week and tried the blue Sterling SS with roasted neck after owning a white one a couple years ago with a bad body crack. This one was def over 8lbs and it had a few nice sounds, but I ordered a Cort GB SS after seeing this thread last week on Reverb and will report back after she arrives.

I managed to snag a 7 lb 11 oz example (Sterling) 2 days before the (unexpected) price jump. Should be here Friday. I look forward to seeing hands-on reactions for the Cort, as well as typical weights.

Nice weight! The GC one was def over 8lbs and had hoped for a lighter one and then saw the Cort online. Did not know about the price hike on the Stingrays and glad you were able to score before that took place.

Got the Cort GB short scale and had a chance to get it setup and play it for a while. Here's a link to my review - 7.3 lbs.

My Pink/Purple GB Shorty should be arriving tomorrow FedEx says. I have all this Black hardware waiting for it. Some stuff I had already in my parts bin such as the Hipshot vintage bridge, football jack plate, string retainer, 3 way switch (hoping the one I have will work), Strap buttons, Luminlay glow side dot material and extra pickguard screws. I just had to buy some Hipshot Ultralite tuners (1/2") and I found these Ebony wood knobs on Amazon. Going to be a fun project Bass and I think the Black hardware will look good with the Pink/Purple color.

Can you get a photo of the control cavity, I'm interested how hard it would be to add a passive tone and bypass switch.

My GB Shorty showed up about an hour ago. Inspected and all looks good. The finish is clean and fretwork seems really nice. I am pleased that the roasted Maple is fairly dark also. @blizzard , I took a pic of the control cavity and it looks like there is enough space above the switch for a passive tone control and switch possibly.

I love all 3 but I’d take the green because it reminds me of Fender’s Adam Clayton (U2) signature bass that I love but 1) can’t afford and 2) wouldn’t buy anyway because it’s long scale.

Shame Cort didn’t do matching headstocks.

At least it's not naked like 99% of the basses and guitars Fender ships out!
