Corvette $$ Volume Pot/Knob Problem

I had switched out my black hardware for gold on my 2005 Corvette $$ and had no issues other than the volume knob.
For some reason it is slightly taller than all my other knobs. The old black knobs seem to be slightly deeper as they seat normally but the new gold knobs sit a bit too high on it. Both black and gold knobs are just fine on the blend and EQ knobs though.
All of the internals are stock and the new and old knobs are warwick. Does anyone know of anything I can do or where I could find a deeper knob?

Warwick has been selling gold parts for years so somewhere there probably is one that will fit. I put all gold on my 2008 Corvette $$ which has four knobs. They all fit but the gold needs a hex tool to loosen the screw and the black knobs just use a tiny screwdriver. The height on both was the same on mine so they look good and they all work. I think my gold hardware was new in 2013. I think your only issue is that most who have gold hardware will not want to sell a part of it. They want to keep the 'package' together. I would.
