In my opinion, New Order's best albums were Movement(the most Joy Division-like) and to a much lesser extent, Power corruption and lies. Anything else after that was mostly commercial rubbish with lots of catchy ditties and stuff, reminiscent of anything you'll find on the dancefloor of any nightclub produced by some talentless hack in the big record labels.

Put JC and NO together, and they have a handful of decent songs. Neither band is that great though.

"Touching from a Distance" written by Curtis' widow Deborah is a must read if one is into Joy Division. Not necessarily an easy read at all times but it's well worth it IMO.

Joy Division is OK.
The Cure are serious contenders for my favorite band outside of heavy metal, and Just Like Heaven is just incredible.
Morissey is a wanker.
