I'm always into cheap solutions, and I just dropped 150 dollars on some effects, and to get the best out of them I know I need to do some sort of signal blending to get them to sound their best. At this point though, I can't spend any more money on pedals that can achieve this and my cheapest solution is to get two of those behringer signal splitters and make a blender myself, but here's my question. I think it's a fairly unique (dangerous?) idea and I don't think it's been addressed, so hear me out. I have a combo amp with both passive and active inputs, so my idea is to split the signal to run through the effects, and one to have dry, and run the dry signal into the active input and the effected signal into the passive input. In my mind, what I imagine is the effected signal being louder than the dry signal, but this could be balanced out with the pedal (probably a behringer). This is all in my head, and I have no idea whatsoever if it would work or not. I want to know if someone's ever tried this, or would be willing to try this, and what their results are, or more importantly, if this is a terrible idea and should be avoided at all costs.
