I was in the jazz program at UT Austin with him in the late 80s. He was about 3 years ahead of me, he was really good then too.

I'm inspired, so I'm working on it. Slowed the video down to 50%, and have the first 14 seconds of it (slides from F# to G, up to his C fill, then back to 'G').

And yes, I'll be playing it at 50% for awhile... he's cooking with gas, on this.

Even slow, a great exercise for both low and high areas of the fretboard.
