Double Bass Crack repair and reinforcement

I want to say "A" but it also may depend of where the crack is obviously

I used 1cm spruce cleats on the top and larger ones on the ribs where damping is possibly less of a concern. No problems for the last year, knock on wood. When I get around to opening my flatback I may go with linen, as some of the existing spruce strip reinforcements are buzzing.
