crackling with Labella Tapes and Piezo pickups

Hi All,

I was trying labella tapes for the very first time this weekend. I have a Carvin bass with piezo pickups in the bridge. I was getting a lot of crackle and pop from that pickup so I went back to regular flat wounds. I really liked the sound on the magnetic pickups from the tapes so I'd like to try them so more, but wondering if tapes just have a problem with piezo pickups. Any experience with this combination?

Absolutely not a problem combination

I use LaBella tape wounds on all my fretlesses (18 or so) & many have piezo pups

Maybe there's a problem with the bridge saddles being loose???
