Crafter Acoustics

Just wondering if anyone's ever owned or does own a Crafter acoustic here. I've got a GAB21S/N and for some reason or other the jack doesn't fit properly. If I unscrew the round nut-like strap holder that keeps the jack in place I can plug it in properly but that means taping it in place and I can't use a strap obviously which is pretty annoying.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Also anyone know how to fit 110s into an acoustic comfortably? I've managed it and it stays in tune and the action is fine etc but the string peg thing on the E string sticks out which is kinda stupid.

Crafter, that's a very good brand for acoustics. I have one of their guitars.
You're probably going to have to put a new jack in it is the most likely solution.
That's a 110 E-string? If it's phosphour bronze I'd like to know what brand, I use a 1.00. I don't quite get what the problem is with fitting the string, though. Did you pre-cut the string, eliminating the tapered winding? If that's the case there's nothing you can do. Otherwise, stick the taper in the hole & wind. I played bass for quite a few years before I knew to do that.

I have a Crafter 5 string acoustic. I enlarged the slot of the B-string bridge pin to accommodate the strings I got for it. I also filed slots in the bridge to let the strings pull down on the saddle more, and more evenely.

Oh, I see what he meant. Yeah, enlarge the pin groove should fix that. Gots to be in the groove.

I use erine ball nickels man slightly because I don't like bronze strings much but also alot because it's got shiny chrome hardware all over and don't wanna spoil the silvery look. Although it's got 4 characters of text on the electronics in gold, might file them off on principle though heh.

Not usually a fan of ernies but love em on my acoustic for some reason, didn't do any pre-cutting though, love the gauge though, have it fairly high action too to make sure I can't go off on one too much (although there is one acoustic song that sounds like rancid doing country where I do a bit of a matt freeman which canes my fingers).

I'll try filing down the pins though cheers for the advice guys, was a bit sceptical about doing it cos I don't really see how the strings actually stay in place to start with so didn't wanna lessen the resistance against them popping out. Bloody jacks useless though not had the thing that long either.
