Craigslist naccissist

Maybe I'm missing something, but if these guys can back up their talk, it sounds like a great gig if you like Country.

Here's the reality. If they were all they say they are, they wouldn't need Craigslist, as they would already be in a scene and have musician friends in that scene they could call or provide references. So they're not gigging and/or getting paid as much as they say. We're in Philadelphia, it's not exactly a country Mecca.

Second, this opening for a Grammy winner is probably some sort of benefit, where they were the first of 5 band, and nobody cared they were there. And even if they did play a named show, doesn't sound like they were asked back, as that experience is in past tense.

Third, if they were any sort of educated, they would book gigs, and hire a ringer. Sounds like they're on hold for the search of a bassist. As they lose contacts and money.

Fourth, political agenda. No need. That mentality will lose you friends, contacts, and gigs.

My $.02

I don't give a damm about band members politics, unless they are Nazis

I don't really care too much what by bandmates politics are as long as they don't drag it out all the time. It sounds like this band is defined by their political views and disdain for anyone in another camp, otherwise why bring it up in an ad.

Maybe it's some new bastardized genre with Country&Western playing Nazis!!! :nailbiting:
Their stage banner says 'Make America Hate Again'

Funny you bring this subject up. I ran across this one on my local CL this morning...

Guitarable Witts (Lakeland)

Alright. I've been down here for 2 years now. Been in 3 bands. Only this last band has been worth a damn.
Is there any guitar players here near Lakeland that are any good?
Can you follow along with someone on a song you've never heard? I'm not saying play it right, but just play along, and follow accordingly.
Classic and Modern Rock and Metal.
If you spit a riff, I'll fire right back with something damn near close and can have it handled in a matter of minutes. And that is good riffs, not your average 3-5-7 ********.
I'm not some amazing, blow-your-mind, sweep picking, shred monster jazz guru with a side of face-melt guitar player. But I am a good musician that knows his poopie. And that is all I ask in return.

Bottom line, can you gel with other musicians? Or only play what you know and expect everyone to learn your poopie?

I'm just trying to jam, write and record a few songs, from classic and pop rock, to hard rock and death metal.
I don't have the gear or time to play out in two bands just yet, but I am always recording and not finishing the work because I'm bored jamming on my own.. and most of the guitar players I've met here in/around Lakeland are just the absolute drizzling-*****(with one exception, the other guitar player in my current band).
If interested in a battle of guitarable witts, email me on here with a video link of you playing guitar. Acoustic, electric, bass, I don't care. If I like it, I'll send you some examples of my stuff.
I've done all I can do to help others become better musicians, now I'm looking for someone to challenge my skill.

Accepted?

P.S.
NO shagING SONG NAZIS

You know who you are.

If they're that big and known (and with all that exposure how can they not be) all they'd need to do is drop word they're looking to hire and there'd already be a line outside their door. No need for CL at all.

I'm not calling BS. But there definitely seems to be a little resumé polishing going on here

Also, they need to look up what "AKA" represents. It's not another way to say "in other words" which is what I think they might have been trying to say.

And "snowflake?" Seriously? And the Grateful Dead being country? Wow ! Who knew?
