I'm thinking I'll go ahead and get one when I get back from my next business trip.

I've never kayaked,...but It has caught my interest. I grew up on the water (did a lot of Bodyboarding and Longboarding in Virginia Beach) and since moving to Spokane I haven't been involved in any sort of watersport. The Spokane River has plenty of flat water paddling which is what I'm interested in for the moment.

Unfortunately the water is cold around these parts; of course that makes it a little inhospitable for gators.

I couldn't help but notice some of the new ones at the boat show last month. They're really well laid out and provide a ton of storage. The fishing Kayaks have compartments for trolling motor batteries, lights and all sorts of fishing gadgetry. I thought about buying to to get into some of the small, private lakes where I can't launch my boat. I'm sure my son would get a lot of use out of it as well. Maybe over the summer...........
